What My Coach collects, why, and what you can do about it. In short: it reads your iRacing laps from Garage61 to coach you, keeps your results so you can open them again, and shows them to nobody but you.Last updated 4 November 2026.
Signing in
You sign in with your Garage61 account, on Garage61's own page. You allow My Coach to read your driving data, and Garage61 gives the app an access key for just that. My Coach never sees your Garage61 password. You can take the access back at any time in your Garage61 account, and the app then asks you to sign in again.
What we collect
- Your Garage61 profile:
- your Garage61 user id, name and profile name, to know who you are.
- Your driving data:
- your laps, lap times, fuel and telemetry, read from Garage61 when you use a feature that needs them.
- What you add:
- the other driver's laps you upload for coaching, the setup exports you upload, how you say the car feels, and your 馃憤 / 馃憥 votes.
- What the app works out:
- coaching sessions and setup wizard runs, so History can open them again.
- When you use the app:
- which days you used it, to count active drivers. Never what you clicked or for how long.
- Messages you send:
- with the contact form: your name, email and message (and your Garage61 account, if signed in), kept to answer you. A scrambled form of your IP address is kept for a day, to stop spam.
The app only reads from Garage61. It never changes anything there.
Where it's kept
In the app's database, under your Garage61 account, and shown only to you. Your Garage61 access key is encrypted. Lap telemetry is kept so each lap is downloaded once. Usage figures (how many drivers, sessions and votes) are only ever looked at added up across everyone, never per person.
Cookies
- Sign-in:
- one cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; another holds a sign-in for the few minutes it takes. They're needed for the app to work.
- Visitor statistics:
- page visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't follow you across sites.
Who else is involved
- Garage61:
- where your laps come from and where you sign in.
- Vercel:
- hosts the app and counts page visits.
- Neon:
- runs the database where your data is kept.
- Resend:
- delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
Your data isn't sold or shared with anyone else.
Deleting your data
Ask, and everything kept under your Garage61 account is deleted: sessions, setup runs, votes, telemetry and your access key. Send a request with the contact form while signed in, so it says which Garage61 account it is, or email contact@mycoach.gg and say which account it is. Taking the access back in Garage61 stops the app reading anything new straight away.
Children
My Coach is for iRacing drivers and isn't aimed at children.
Changes
